Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I join the Colorado Springs Hispanic Business Council?
Since 1989, we have been an important part of the Colorado Springs small business community. In 2016, the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was resurrected as The Colorado Springs Hispanic Business Council (CSHBC) offering the same services as a chamber. The CSHBC is committed to creating greater prosperity in the Pikes Peak region by attracting, promoting, and nurturing Hispanic-owned and small businesses enterprises. All of our members are offered opportunities in business through education, connections, partnering and mentoring with the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center, BBB of Southern Colorado and other partnership we have established. Joining the CSHBC is an excellent choose and a wise strategic business decision resulting in an effective partnering opportunity. Business Statistics for El Paso County According to the Census Bureau, in 2012 there were 54,247 businesses in El Paso County. Of those, 26,903 were owned by men and 20,043 by women. El Paso County Hispanic businesses in 2012 numbered 4,413. They were projected to have reached 6,222 in 2017 and projected to reach 8,773 by in 2022. Small business owners comprise the largest segment of our membership. A national study presented at the recent 2019 SBDC & CSHBC Minority Business Enterprise and Diversity Summit showed over 50% of our state’s economic engine is driven by small business.
Although the majority of our members are Hispanic owned and small business owners, the CSHCC has diverse members whose businesses vary widely by size, revenue and industry, including start-ups, large corporations, colleges, universities, to small nonprofit organizations.
Membership dues vary depending on the access and exposure your business wants and the level that best fits your budget. Joining is simple, just complete our online application or contact the President at info@cshispanicchamber.com.
